I Hear Jerusalem Bells a Ringing...

It's weird writing on here...
But I felt like i needed to.

As for the people who have somehow kept up with me, you all know that I am a horrible blogger. I haven't blogged for a VERY long time.

I just never know how to write what I want to say....
As I write right now, I have no idea why I am or what to exactly say, but I will try it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My birthday is in four days, which i will be seventeen; time sure does fly by....but I will get back to that in a minute.
Over the past several months I have learned many different things:
Never take life for granted; live life to it's fullest.
Time is a very valuable and precious thing that you will NEVER get back.
Friends and family are forever in your heart.
Memories are cherished for a life time.
Love everyone.....no matter what.
Push yourself to your greatest potential and never let anything stop you.
Things have happened that have truly opened my eyes to these statements....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It happened almost four months ago, but there are many days that it still fills like it is sinking in....I guess it's because it still is.
Chase Trent, one of my very BEST friends since before we started school together, was taken from all of us that dearly loved him. Chase didn't have a choice that night...he was hit head on by a drunk driver.

We knew each other, because we had gone to the same church and been in the same sunday school classes since we were 2 or 3, but weren't very good friends until fourth grade....after that, it was history.
Chase and I were like brother and sister; literally. We were both only children, spoiled rotten (haha), loved cats, mint chocolate chip ice cream, coldplay, video games...the list goes on
Our families even to this day call us twins...

I really cannot explain to you how much he meant to me, or how lucky of a person I was that he was one of my best friends....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's weird how one person can truly touch someone's life. If it weren't for Chase, my best friend, Hannahm nor I would have the same people in my life right now. I met Barrett and Jacob, my other two best guy friends of 5+ years, because of that kid. I am now best friends with his lovely girl friend, Tiffany, and his other group of friends, Darin, Tyler, and Katie. Old friends from elementary school have come back into my life....and it's all because of him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

He also opened my eyes to a very special person in my life, by the name of Jacob...
but I will save that story for another time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I suppose I am writing this, because it's close to my birthday.... and my twin won't be there. In high school, birthdays were what we shared to catch up at, since we didn't have really the same classes together. It was like a reunion, I suppose.
This is really just me missing him...
Love,
Katherine
